Travellers will be able to hire PDA’s which can translate some 50,000 Japanese and 25,000 English words using voice recgnition. The technology does not require any voice training and is capable of understanding different speech patterns or accents.
The devices also features WiFi internet access, local guide information and can also be used as mobile phones.
Is this the shape of things to come? Will we be seeing it on our own PDA’s and Smartphones in years to come?
