CLEVER Car
Nine European Countries have been funding a project for a new type of Urban Vehicle called The CLEVER (Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transport).
The vehicle can carry two people; one sat behind the other; is a cross between a car and a motorbike. It features a novel tilting action and is capable of speeds up to 50mph. It is said to be a fifth less to run than standard cars as it runs on compressed natural gas.
Only at the prototype stage, but could be available from December 2005 for as little as £6,500.

I really the look of this Clever car, but I wonder how well it can turn sharp corners (and the size of it’s turning-circle).
Does nobody else notice that this concept is almost 100% recycled from GM’s “Lean Machine” from 1983?

I don’t know if it is still there, but the original GM concept car was displayed in the Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida when I was a kid. The only difference was that the GM concept was not an “alternative” fuel vehicle (back then it was irrelevant).
