Movable Type 3.0
Six Apart have released version 3 of their hugely popular Personal Publishing System MovableType.
Having been free for personal use, Six Apart have decided that for the product to be successful in future they have changed the way that the product is licensed. Starting at an introductory price of $69.95 (normal price $99) you get access to 5 Weblogs and 5 Authors.
MT3.0 does not appear to offer any new features over MT2.661, so why should people upgrade to a product that offers less but costs more? There seems to be a lot of disgruntled MT Users who are not happy with Six Apart’s decision - you only have to look at the comments on Mena’s Corner.
For me with one blog and one author there is no issue, I have downloaded MT3.0 and might install to see what it has to offer.
