Finding WiFi Networks
Since I set-up the first part to my WiFi Network at home it got me thinking about what other WiFi networks there are out there nearby..
I downloaded Network Stumbler for the PC and Mini Stumber for the Pocket PC. Unfortunately Mini Stumber does not appear to work or be supported on the iPAQ 4150! After a little bit of searching I found WiFiFoFum as featured by Engadget.
As I live in a village in the countryside that is yet to get Broadband I thought that the chances of seeing any results pretty slim - but in fact WifiFoFum keeps detecting 2 nearby networks. I thought that these might have been the networks that I had created when I was trying to connect my Pocket PC to my computer - but after turning off all my equipment - they were still being detected. Due to lack of time I have currently been unable to pinpoint where they are.
I’m going to take my PPC into town tomorrow and see what I can find - I know there are a few pubs with WiFi access..
