SPAM - Get your own back!
Lycos have come up with an ingenious idea to combat SPAM - a screensaver!
The idea is that the screensaver constantly requests data from the spammers websites that the emails are intended to lure you too. The point of this exercise is to put load on the web servers and increase web traffic in a hope that it will push up their bandwidth costs.
As SPAM is so cheap and easy to do, hopefully this will start adding larger costs for the spammer.. Simple!
