Band Aid 20
When the third version of the Band Aid Single Do They Know It’s Christmas was first played I absolutely hated it.. It wasn’t a patch on the original that was recorded twenty years ago (has it really been that long? Gawd I’m getting old!). The original is a classic and I felt that it was wrong to remake it yet again. They did it once back in 1989 – and what an awful version that was!
I have heard the song being played quite a few times and just felt that it was so flat and boring compared to the passionate original, and the rapping by Dizzee Rascal was just plain wrong!
Now, I don’t know what has happened, but my opinion has now changed and I have now kinda grown to love the new release. OK I still think the rapping is wrong, but there is something kinda moving about this remake.

Love it or hate it - go buy the single it’s for a good cause!
