I have gotten myself a new handset at last – all that build-up to getting the Nokia N93 – I decided that 1 – it was going to be too big, 2 – as feature-packed as it is, it still seemed pretty flawed and 3 – hardly any networks are supporting the handset here in the UK.
In the end I got my hands on the Nokia N73 and I’ve even said goodbye to my long-term service provider Orange (after some 9 years!) and moved to the young & funky 3 3G network.
I have to say that I have got myself a rocking package – I’m getting so much more for my money on 3 than I ever did on Orange..
I have gone for the DirectText 1400 which gives me:
- 300 Minutes
- 1000 Text Messages
- 50 Video Minutes
- 50 Picture/Video Messages
Normally the plan comes with 30mb of free internet access – which is a very handsome amount of free browsing. Only after I had purchased the handset and used it for a while, I realised that I had more bandwidth than expected.. I actually had 512mb of free internet access. This was because the N73 comes with Yahoo Go! and has an increased limit – how cool is that!?
Who needs an N80 with WiFi where you have to find a free hotspot (a rarity here in the UK) or pay for a hotspot (6quid for an hour – I don’t think so!) when you can have free internet access wherever you are (3G reception permitting).
I think that the N73 and 3 are such a great combination – I’ll review them in more detail later when I have more time..
