Online DS Gaming
I got myself a Nintendo DS just before Christmas last year but no matter what I did I was unable to connect it to the internet using my wireless home router. I found some router information on Nintendo WiFi site but no matter what I did it just wouldn’t connect. It seemed that I wasn’t alone as a quick Google found other users unable to connect to the Nintendo WFC service either. One of my colleagues at work who had a brand new Netgear Router was also unable to connect. With this I kinda gave up and just enjoyed my DS as it was.

With my new BT Home Hub installed I thought that I’d give the DS another go and see if it would connect to the internet. A couple of clicks later and I was in for a surprise - it connected!
A whole new side of the DS has been opened for me… It’s so much more fun competing against people around the world! It’s just a shame that don’t get to find out a bit more about who you are playing against, like having a country flag or something as an indicator.
How it’s come along since the days when I had my first (original) GameBoy and used to play Link-up Tetris with my friends by plugging in a cable between the two devices…
