BT Fon & BTBroadband = Free WiFi

As a BT Broadband customer I am able to participate in a unique partnership with the FON Network that will allow me to access free WiFi from any FON or BT OpenZone Hotspots around the world.

All I have to do is enable my BT Home Hub router to allow it to act as a BT Openzone hotpsot where I securely share my bandwidth for other users.

  • With Wi-Fi, you can access broadband wirelessly.
  • With BT FON, you share your home Wi-Fi with other members and in return get to use theirs when you’re out and about.
  • It’s completely secure because your access and the visitor’s access are kept totally separate.
  • It’s free, included as part of your BT Broadband.

Basically the more users that share their bandwidth like this enable more hotspots for you and me to access broadband for free – potentially from thousands of locations world wide.

If you are a BT Broadband subscriber and are not signed-up, do so now it’s totally free!

Now that’s what I call forward thinking!
