Since my previous post on Google Calendar Sync, I have been using GooSync to sync my Google Calendar to my N95 for the last couple of weeks. I have to say that I have been very impressed with the simplicity of it all..
The free product allows syncing of one calendar with entries 30 days in advance. The Premium Account allows multiple calendar syncing of events 365 days in the past and future as well as Contact Syncing, and as of last week you can now sync your Tasks as well.
Installation is a breeze, fill in your mobile details and they will send a configuration file to your mobile. Then its just a matter of selecting Sync from the Tools Menu, and then click the GooSync.com profile to sync.

Syncing of my work and private Google calendars to my N95 was painless.
As I mentioned above the Premium Account does allow syncing of Contacts as well.. although not with your Google Contacts list as I had first thought (this will be coming later in April/May). For the time being GooSync will sync back your Contacts to their servers, so that you have an online backup of your precious numbers should anything happen to your handset. You can of course import your contacts straight into their website from a CSV file which you can easily export from MS Outlook or your Gmail Contacts.
One feature that I would like to see is Auto-Sync, sadly, this is only available on Windows Mobile devices, which is a shame as it would be nice to schedule the app to sync overnight while my phone is charging ready for the next day.
All-in-all the product works really well and is so easy to set-up.. After the recent firmware update for the N95 I was able to get my contacts and calendar entries back on my phone with little effort – and the great thing about it is that I didn’t have to be tethered to or be anywhere near a computer! I love it – total freedom to sync when and where-ever I like.
