The Nokia DT-22 Mobile Phone Tripod is a rather nifty little accessory for your Nokia mobile phone.
The mobile tripod comes in a simple Nokia package.
If you have ever tried to shoot some video on your mobile without getting the shakes, then you really need to use a tripod. Unfortunately traditional tripods, that come with a standard screw adapter to connect to the bottom of your camera or camcorder have nothing to connect to on your mobile handset.
The clever folks at Nokia, realising that their high-end Nseries handsets, which can shoot DVD-like quality video, were in need of a steady platform to capture those moments on came up with the ingenious idea of a clasp that securely grips your handset on a mini tripod.
The Nokia DT-22 is designed with the Nokia Nseries range of handsets in mind and is compatible with Nokia N95, N93, N80, N73, N72 and N70 and will work pretty much any other mobile phone going.

The construction of the tripod is metal and is very sturdy. It has 3 adjustable legs that can be extended to 3 stages of length with rubber non-slip feet. At the top of the legs you will find a pivotable ‘ball’ that allows leveling of your mobile or allowing you to set a specific angle for capturing your image with a turn-key to lock into position. The top of the tripod features the clasp that grips your mobile phone, which can be removed to reveal a standard camera screw attachment so that you can use your own traditional camera/camcorder instead. This also means that the removed clasp attachment can also be attached to much larger tripods, for using your mobile. Neat.
As you can see from the image, there is a twist screw that enables you
to easily tighten and undo the clasp that grips your mobile in position.

position for landscape photographs and taking video.
The tripod can also hold your mobile phone in the vertical position,
ideal for those portrait photos.
I have been so impressed with not only the construction of the tripod, but the functionality of it too. If you are a serious Nseries user that likes to take video and photos then this really is a must have.

Nice review. I’ve had this tripod a few months, and as nice as it is I hardly ever use it!
That said I would still heartily recommend this to N-Series users - why?
The best thing about this tripod is that the head piece which holds the phone is usable with any standard tripod - what I have used the head piece with a lot is a gorillapod. Its very cool having a tripod that works in essentially any conditions, no matter what challenges the environment throws your way.
