Google Chrome Launched
The new web browser from Google has been launched. Google Chrome first announced yesterday at Google Books in the form of a cartoon, is now available for Windows users.

I’ve downloaded and had a quick play (I am writing this from within Google Chrome) and the first thing that you notice is that its FAST!
On the surface, we designed a browser window that is streamlined and simple. To most people, it isn’t the browser that matters. It’s only a tool to run the important stuff - the pages, sites and applications that make up the web. Like the classic Google homepage, Google Chrome is clean and fast. It gets out of your way and gets you where you want to go.
Much like the Awesome Bar that you find in FireFox 3, the Omnibox is the place that you will spend much of your time in Google Chrome. You may notice that there is no search box in the browser, as all your searching is now performed within the OmniBox. It will even allow you to search your favourite websites from within this location.
First impressions are really good.. Simple, clean and fast.. what more do we really need from a web browser?
Download Google Chrome and let me know what you think.
