Get Tweetie for your Mac
For all you Twitter users out there, you may have heard of a very slick iPhone app called Tweetie, well now atebits, the team behind it, have announced that their Tweetie for Mac (aka BigBird) will launch on Monday 20th April.

Tweetie for the iPhone has a gorgeous interface, allowing multiple Twitter accounts, search, saved searches, find people nearby, trends, and seamless integration with picture hosting services. Now Mac users will be able to get all of this on their desktops.
Current desktop Twitter offerings are lead by the likes of cross-platform (using Adobe Air) TweetDeck and Twhirl, and Mac-specific Twitterriffic, which started as a desktop client and then moved to the iPhone.
Tweetie for Mac promises to bring all of the loveliness to your Mac in a stylish, easy to use interface, which I feel that the current leaders are lacking. Check out the Tweetie for Mac video on the atebits site for a taster of what to expect.
There is no news on prices at the moment.

I’m a big fan of Tweetie for iPhone. Been using it for a few months now and currently it is my favourite iPhone Twitter app (and I’ve tried quite a few!). Check out my review here : http://www.iphone-review-zone.com/blog/software/iphone-twitter-software-tweetie
I was looking forward to the Mac version of Tweetie and downloaded it this morning onto my Macbook Pro OS-X (Tiger) but the install is asking for a later version of OS-X so this version is just for the latest Leopard version I guess.
A little tip for anyone using the Adobe Air client programs is to shut them down every so often as they tend to eat memory and not let it go.
Great site btw.
