BBC iPlayer on Nintendo Wii

Great news for Wii owners in the UK – you will be able to catch up on your favourite TV shows from the BBC with the launch of the iPlayer on your Nintendo Wii console.

BBC iPlayer now on the Internet Channel on the Nintendo Wii

An early version of the service is available from the Internet Channel on your Wii with refined versions due later in the year..

If you don’t already have the Internet Channel (Opera Web Browser for Wii) then you will need to download it at a cost of 500 points (approx £3.50).  The BBC hope to get iPlayer on the Wii for free sometime, maybe evenso that it appears as its own channel.

To access the iPlayer just point the Wii Opera Browser to www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer.

For more information see the BBC iPlayer News site.
