It would seem that WiFi is the latest buzzword. Hotspots as they are commonly known are starting to pop up all over the country or should I say the world.
Intel’s Hotspot Finder lets you find the nearest WiFi location near you. The UK comes second after the USA for most WiFi locations, with Exeter as the city with most hotspots for its population size.
StarBucks and McDonalds are leading the trend, by installing their establishments with broadband WiFi connections here in the UK.
As my iPAQ has WiFi built in – I would love to try it, but all the locations that are near me are currently charging a ridiculous £6 per hour – I don’t think that they will get many takers! Now if it was a quid or you get some free time when you buy a drink or some food – then i’m up for that!
I must try out that WiFi sniffer program I downloaded for my PPC – and go warchalking…
