It seems that there is no longer any need for the full web browser on your mobile! Why would you need one to get the latest news and information when you can get it via CEEFAX? Yes that’s right the BBC have provided a (very slick, I might add) Widget for the very popular WidSets application.
You remember the days before the Internet was commonplace and your only resource for quick and up-to-date information was from the BBC’s CEEFAX service or ITV’s Oracle (now Teletext). Well now it is back, and on your mobile!
Just as you do on your TV, enter the 3-digit page number and wait for it to load!
Who needs the Internet, Firefox and Google? When you have all you need in this great little app. It was good enough for us 15 years ago before we knew any better!
OK, of course I’m only kidding! It’s so great to go all retro in this modern age!
