What’s in the Box?:
There’s really not much to this product at all, the instruction are printed right on the box so there’s not even documentation included:
The transformer SE comes packaged in a plastic bag, it’s small enough to take anywhere with you. One end has a male USB connection while the other has a female USB connection:
The Transformer SE seems well made, there’s nothing to it really, just a block of plastic with a short USB cable coming from it.

Installation, Performance and Comparison:
Once of the great things about the Transformer SE is that you can use it with any storage device, even an iPod. There is an LED on it to indicate power.
When you use it with the iPod you can either use the iPod for storage to takes files with you, or you can use it to back up and sync you playlist and music.
I don’t own a Mac, so I’m using it with my PC running Windows 7 64bit. When you plug it in it will auto run if you have that set, if not just choose to run it.
You’re then greeted with the main screen and you’ll have to agree with the license.
Then the program with automatically start to search for things to backup.
At the bottom of the screen is an options button where you can manage Setting and PCs, Tools, Reminder and Support.
Tools is just for Reset, Updating and selecting the language.
Under the Reminder tab you can actually install a little program on your computer that will pop up and remind you that it’s time to back up. It’s a truly useful little program, let’s face it we’re all busy and there are time we forget things and the reminder program will let you know it’s time to backup your PC.
The Support tab is just for support of the Transformer SE, and it offers System Info and Help as well.
The first thing I used was my 64gb Kingston DataTraveler USB drive. Once it was done searching it figured out that there wasn’t enough space to backup my files.
One of the small issues with this program is that it finds everything and anything to back up. You’ll have to go in and set or select what you want to back up. Once you change the settings though they will stay and it will then only search for what you want to backup.
Once I figured out what I wanted or didn’t want I was ready to go with enough space to backup what I wanted to, then it goes to work. Depending on what you’re using as the backup device and how much your backing up, the process can take quite a bit of time the first run.
And that’s it really, it is simple to use.
The other feature with the Transformer SE is the iPod backup features, you can import your music with just a couple clicks.
Yes this is a nice idea, and it works, but I found no need for it. It all depends on your uses I guess.
Conclusion:
The Transformer SE can be an invaluable and truly lifesaving tool to anyone. if you’ve ever had a hard drive die then you understand the importance of backing things up on a regular basis.
The Transformer SE is simple to use, and it works with multiple computers without purchasing additional licenses. it also works with most any type of storage device so you’re never limited to capacity, it can grow with you as your storage needs change.
With all of the choices out there for backups, why choose one that is limited in capacity, or limited to how many computers you can use it on? The Clickfree Transformer SE is a product that I can easily recommended for your data protection needs.
