Review of DryDoc Digi 1 Waterproof Protective Cell Phone Case

Today I’ve got a quick review for you of rather useful product called the DryDoc Digi 1. It’s a waterproof case for your phone or other small electronic gadget that is basically a tough zip style bag. This case has a nylon strap on the back with a buckle so you can attach it to any number of things while you’re doing anything where your devices could get wet. Overall it’s a very simple product yes, but it’s one that could potentially save you from the disaster of your gadgets getting wet.

Usage:

I’m using the DryDoc case with my Samsung Galaxy S Captivate:

Installation is very simple, it’s a zip style bag, just slide your phone in and zip closed to secure it.

The bag or case is made of heavy duty plastic that should be able to withstand some abuse and still come out unscathed.

The little elastic strap on the back is a nice addition and can be useful for attaching it to things like a backpack or a bike or even your wrist.

I found I could use the phone just fine for the most part while it was in the case, at least making phones was no problem.

I did run across an issue where I think the Seattle Sports logo gets in the way of the bottom row of button on my phone. I would try to press on and another would activate. I don’t think you’d need to play with your phone while it was in the case, it’s more for emergencies I would think so this might not be that much of an issue. I could make calls, and I was told I could be hear fine through the case.

As is the case is waterproof, I tossed it in a sink full of water and there was no water inside.

I do have one small concern and that is condensation, phones get warm of course and being in a sealed plastic bag like this might case condensation in colder weather.

Conclusion:

For $10 I think this case is well worth it even if not used all of the time. You could use it for taking on trips like hiking or camping or kayaking or fishing or any kind of outdoor activity that might get you wet or you might encounter inclement weather.

I think it would be great to just keep one in the car for emergencies, and so it’s always with you just in case.

The case is well made of puncture resistant material, and it’s easy to use along with allowing access to the basic functions of your phone.  You could also use it for any other devices like your MP3 player or even a small camera.

PROS CONS
