I watched the Apple iPhone 3G Keynote Speech by Steve Jobs recently and was interested to see the comparison that he made with the Nokia N95 and Treo 750 when it came to surfing the net, claiming that the new 3G iPhone is 36% faster.
Steve commented " You get a full web page on the iPhone and quite a bit less on these other products.." when showing a page from the National Geographic being loaded on each of the handsets.
I know that ... Read More

I was merrily watching my favourite TV show, The Gadget Show on Five last night, when they started talking about SpinVox. I was amazed to see a product that I am so familiar with being featured on such a big technology show as this (congrats Team SpinVox!). I was however a little disappointed not to see Mr Whatley in the feature, especially since his recent interview on BBC Radio 4.
If you didn't see it, don't worry you can find it below - ... Read More

The N95 was the ultimate gadget-lovers mobile phone touting a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, Integrated GPS, ... Read More

It's been a while coming - a new firmware update (v21.0.016) for the original N95 has finally landed. Surprisingly the update was even available for my Carphone Warehouse branded N95, which on previous releases has taken a week or so after the initial announcement to surface.
To check to see if the update is available for your particular N95 head over to the Nokia Device Software Update pages and enter your product code. Don't worry if there is no update for your handset, ... Read More

Since the launch of the N95 8GB, it would seem that people are still trying to figure out if it is worth getting over it's elder brother (the original silver N95) as I was pleased to see today that my recent N95 / N95 8GB Video Comparison has just hit over 1/4 million views on YouTube and is the 9th most popular video of all time in the Science & Technology section!

Leading up to the launch of the iPhone here in the UK, the BBC News ran a spoof video similar to "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" ads by Apple comparing the iPhone to the N95. I tried to get hold of a copy of this at the time but the BBC media player doesnt allow you to embed it's videos..
Anyways for those who missed it - here it is again on YouTube!
