Real Networks. have released a BETA version of RealPlayer 11 for Mac.
The new addition doesn't appear to include any dramatic new features though:
Download Flash videos quickly and easily
View video clips in full-screen theater mode
Optimize your sound with our graphic equalizer
Behaves just like your other Mac applications
Plays QuickTime files
Minimium Requirements are:
Requires Mac OS X v.10.4 or higher
Requires 256Mb RAM (512 Recommended)
Requires PowerPC G3 (or later) or Intel Core Solo/Duo processor
Requires Internet Connection

Apple have released the latest update of its Tiger operating system.
There are a whole heap of bug fixes - one that has been annoying me since I bought a webcam for my Mac is the "No data has been received for the last 10 seconds" alert that could often appear when participating in a video chat in iChat with someone using AIM on a PC.. I knew that I wouldn't be able to resist for very long.. I have now upgraded my Mac Mini from Panther to Tiger.
Not a very dramatic upgrade to be honest, OK Spotlight is neat, as are the Dashboard Widgets, but at the end of the day the relatively small enhancements to the other bits of the OS make the move from Panther to Tiger similar to a move from Windows 95 to 98. Nice but not earth shattering.

Today is the day that Tiger is finally released to the world. With big launches planned for 6pm in each of Apple Stores timezones, Mac users will now be able to upgrade to Apple's latest operating-system Mac OS X 10.4.
