Live TV on your Mobile
I love the whole idea of being able to do so much with a mobile handset, and as we all know the N95 pretty much covers it all; video, pictures, Internet, GPS to name a few!
One application that isn’t covered by default on the N95 is mobile TV. I know that the handset doesn’t support broadcast streams (DVB-H) like the Nokia N77, I am talking more about Internet streams as the N95 has great connectivity options (3G & WiFi).
When I had my N73 I came across and used a great TV application called Live TV from a company called Vimio. The best part about it is that it’s absolutely free to download and use!
Although a limited in the number of available channels, it does come with one of the UK’s best news channels; Sky News; which I feel is worth the download alone! The great thing about Live TV is that most of the available channels have different stream rates; High, Medium or Low which you can select depending on your network connection.
Another great feature, is that by pressing the select button on your joystick/pad you can rotate the video to full screen, which I have to say looks darn good on my N95! Don’t forget that TV-out option!
Mobile TV is going to get bigger in the next year or so, and with the likes of On Demand channels now lining up from Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky and with the BBC’s iPlayer due later this year - it won’t be long before you’ll not only be able to watch your favourite channel when you want - but also where you want!

Which phone do you select when the form asks before downloading the application? (I did not see N95 listed.)

@ Neil - Yes The N80 is also a S60 3rd Edition handset, and is pretty similar in spec so should work fine. It’s a great little app that just works - no settings to fiddle around with - just install and away you go.
