Hello Again, we’re back with more product reviews. I know it’s been a while for any reviews on here, but my life has been hectic especially the last week or so with the 30+ inches of snow we got and more on the way over the next few days.. Today for review I’ve got a double review actually, two products for the Asus Eee PC 900 from a company called Proporta. I figured it would be best to combine these reviews since they go with each other and the second product is a small one. What I have for review from Proporata is a very nice leather case and a screen protector. The leather case is stylish and it will protect your little Eee PC from bumps and scrapes, it is more though like a case for a cellphone, it wraps around the Eee PC to protect it but yet still allows access to ports and buttons etc. The case stays on the Eee PC forever really, it’s not one that you take off, just like a cellphone case would stay on your phone. The screen protector is a screen protector like others out there, but this one of course is to protect the entire screen of the Asus Eee PC 900. The combination of both the leather case the screen protector is good one that will truly offer full protection for your investment.
First up we’ll take a look a the leather case.

The case comes in a plastic box, nothing really special about the package, it works to protect it.
When you open up the box you’re greeted with the wonderful smell of real leather. The leather on this case is very soft and supple, very nice indeed. The top is plain and there’s a strap on the side that holds it closed. The bottom does have ventilation holes to make sure your Eee PC stays cool while in use.
Opening it up you’ll find on the top half are places for memory cards, business cards and even a pocket for papers or whatever you’d like to put in it. The bottom is cut out where the touch pad is and where the LED indicators are, the sides are cut out as well for the ports.
I’m using it with my Asus Eee PC 900a actually, the 900 and the 900a are basically the same except for the specs. In mine though I’ve also swapped the SSD out for a speedy 64gb Runcore SSD drive. I haven’t had the chance to upgrade the ram yet, but will be doing so soon I think.. I do have a custom MusicSkins cover on my Eee PC.
Putting the Eee PC into the leather case is very easy, you just slide it into the bottom section and you’re done really. It fits nice and tight so it won’t be falling off accidentally. All of the ports and buttons are accessible with no problems there. The Top half does not actually attach to the lid of the Eee PC though, this is so you can get to the pockets easily.
Here’s a picture with some stuff in the pockets and with it closed, it kind of resembles a book really..
Well that’s it for the Leather Case part of this double review.
I like the case case a lot, it offers good protection and it looks great. The best part is that you don’t have to take the Eee PC out of the case to use it.

The screen protector is like others out there, but of course bigger for the 7″ screen of the Eee PC. it comes in a plastic and cardboard style envelope.
Included with the screen protector is a plastic card to help remove the bubbles and a nice handy cleaning cloth. As a bonus they included a post card with it as well…
If you’ve ever worked with a screen protector you’ll know they’re not as easy as they look to get on correctly the first time. It took me a few tries to get it on and I did end up with a few bubbles, but not really bubbles. What the bubbles are is actually little pieces of lint stuck under the protector, I tried my best to get them all out but it seemed every time I pulled it back off it just attracted more so I gave up and let it be. When I powered on the Eee PC though I couldn’t even tell they were there anymore, so it’s not a big deal to me.

Conclusion:
Both of these products alone are an excellent way to protect your Asus Eee PC 900, but combine them and you’ve got even better protection overall.
The Leather Case is one that I can easily recommend you getting for your own Eee PC, it’s a very nice quality product that not only looks good but will protect your netbook.
The screen protector is a way to protect your screen and that’s about it. It’s basic yes, but it works and works well. The screen protector is clear so you’ll be able to see everything and be protected at the same time.
If you’re going to invest in a netbook, you might as well protect your investment and these Proporta products are a great way to do it.
