Today for review I’ve got a very inexpensive Bluetooth headset from our friends at MobileFun. This headset doesn’t have nay fancy name it’s called the BlueChip BH08N and for the price it’s not a bad headset really. The BH08N is very small and lightweight, it comes with both a USB charger and a car charger so you can charge on the go if need be. It does have a rather short talk time coming in at about 4.5 hours, but call quality is decent, it’s no Jawbone but for about $15 it’s not bad really.

What’s in the Box?:
The headset comes packaged in our favorite sealed plastic clam shell style package.
Included with the headset is a USB charging cable and car charger along with instruction manual and ear loop. You’ll notice it only comes with one ear bud though, other headsets come with many different sizes usually.
The headset itself is very small and lightweight. It only has one button on it
The ear bud that comes with the BH08N is the type that has the loop on it so you could possibly where it without the ear loop.
The charging port is on the top of the headset:

Installation, Performance and Comparison:
Here’s a couple pictures of the BH08N compared to my Jawbone2:
Charging it is quick actually, only about 1.5 hours to full charge. Just plug it in and let it charge. The charge time might be short but you’ll only get about 4.5 hours of talk time out of it and about 70 hours of standby.
I had no issues pairing it with the Palm Pre Plus or my AT&T Tilt. It worked fine there.
The range was fine for me, but then again I don’t go wandering around away from my phone talking either. I only use a Bluetooth headset in my car and my phone is only a couple feet away at all times, or it’s in my pocket.
Call quality is decent, but the volume is a bit low and things sound a bit hollow, but you can still hear people and I was told people could hear me fine.
For a price of around $15 one can’t expect much really, but I was surprised by how good the call quality was for such an inexpensive headset. I mean the call quality isn’t great or anything but for the price it’s not bad.
Wearing it I found I could not wear it without the ear loop and that’s just something I don’t like at all. I hate wearing ear loop, I most always were sunglasses when outside as my eyes are light sensitive and ear loops are not comfortable with glasses on.

Conclusion:
The BlueChip BH08N is surprisingly a decent headset overall. I was surprised by the overall good call quality I got while using it. It’s not a Jawbone that’s for sure , but it’s not bad for an entry level/inexpensive BT headset though.
