Thats’s the view in the latest edition of Mobile Entertainment Magazine.

Tom Tom are currently the market leaders when it comes to GPS for your Mobile, but that is all set to change thanks to Nokia.
Since Nokia’s acquisition of Smart2Go, Nokia is planning on hitting Tom Tom hard since it’s recent announcement that it is giving away it’s mapping application for free. With the likes of the mighty N95 now hitting the shelves with intergrated GPS, could it be that Tom Tom Mobile’s days are numbered?
At approx £67 for TomTom mobile, Nokia are under-cutting the market leader with a turn-by-turn subscription to their free product for about £40 a year or £47 for 3. Even if a user doesn’t need this feature, they are still getting an excellent GPS system for nothing. Why would you want to buy Tom Tom’s Product?
The N95 is going to shake the GPS market up somewhat, It is still only early days at the moment, but you’d better watch your back Tom Tom!

Makes you wonder if the mobile phone will eventually eat up everything!!
Where’s my lunch . . . Doh! The phone’s had it!!
Where’s the dog . . . Ahh! The phone’s eaten it!!

Seriously though, it’s hard to see where this might all end - anyone who might doubt why Apple have pulled engineers off Leopard to work on the iPhone, need only exercise a tiny bit of imagination to realise that the iPhone is Apple’s future.
